Between 28 and 30 November 2025, the 12th Model United Nations Conference – MUNLawS 2025 – will take place at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. The event is organized by students under the mentorship of Asst. Prof. Maša Kovič Dine, Ph.D. MUNLawS is the largest university-level Model UN conference in Slovenia. This three-day event brings together university and secondary school students, as well as young professionals, for an engaging diplomatic experience. Held annually in autumn, it offers participants the opportunity to debate current international issues in a dynamic academic environment. Over the past eleven editions, MUNLawS has welcomed more than 1,500 delegates from over 40 countries across four continents. Organized in the heart of Ljubljana, the conference not only fosters debate and diplomacy but also encourages participants to build friendships and enjoy the city’s vibrant social life. This year’s conference, themed “Beyond Divisions: Ensuring Security for All,” will feature simulations of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council, International Olympic Committee, European Parliament Committee for Foreign Affairs, and more. Through these simulations, participants will explore global challenges and develop the skills essential for tomorrow’s leaders and diplomats. The conference is supported by European Parliament Liaison Office in Slovenia, Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Tourism Ljubljana.
