Transfer from Vienna Airport to Maribor
Vienna Airport is one of the most important airports for Central and Eastern Europe. More than 22 million passengers fly to or from Vienna Airport on more than 200 thousand flights every year. Because the airport is fairly close to Maribor, a lot of GoOpti passengers choose to fly to and from Vienna Airport.
The start of the transfer
After your plane lands at Vienna Airport, you will spend quite a while collecting your luggage and leaving the airport building. Your GoOpti van will be waiting for you on the first floor at the drop-off area for Departures at Terminal 1. One day before the booked transfer, GoOpti will send you an SMS and an e-mail containing the exact location and time of departure. When you arrive at the pick-up location, the GoOpti driver will introduce himself and check if all the passengers who have booked the transport are present. The driver will also take care of all your luggage and make sure it is safely stored in the back compartment of the vehicle. After all the passengers are safely and comfortably seated and have fastened their seat belts, the transfer can begin.
The course of the transfer
Maribor is located about 260 kilometers from Vienna Airport, and the comfortable and reliable GoOpti transfer usually lasts two hours and 20 minutes. Your GoOpti vehicle will take you from Vienna Airport to the A2 highway towards Graz and from there to the A9 highway towards the Slovenian border. It will then take the A59 highway towards Maribor.
GoOpti drivers have to stop for a 15-minute break every two and a half hours of driving. Since the transfer from Vienna Airport to Maribor usually takes two hours and 20 minutes, there are no stops planned during this transfer, but the GoOpti drivers usually decide to make at least one stop anyway. If the transfer takes longer because of different circumstances on the road, the GoOpti driver will make sure to include an additional break in the transfer. Passengers can always ask for an unplanned break. The first break, which can last up to 15 minutes, can be organized at the request of just one passenger. For every additional break all the passengers must come to a consensus.
Where we will drop you off
Your GoOpti transfer will end at Maribor railway station, but you can also choose to be dropped off at your home address, at work or at any other location.
Maribor is Slovenia's second biggest city and a university town. It is also the economic, educational, financial, cultural, tourist and trading center of northeastern Slovenia. In 2012, Maribor was named European Capital of Culture, and a year later, European Youth Capital.
