Trieste Airport is a small airport that handles almost 750,000 passengers each year. Only four airline companies offer passengers eight flight destinations, but Trieste Airport is still an excellent starting point to reach many world destinations. It is linked by direct scheduled and charter flights to a number of Italian and European destinations.
Trieste Airport has one terminal. The ground floor includes both the Arrivals and Departures areas as well as a bank, a tourist information office and a newsstand. The Departures area has different food and beverage machines, a bar, a newsstand and a book store. There are also a bar and a restaurant on the first floor and they are available to everyone.
Trieste Airport offers a free Wi-Fi network accessible through the TRS-AIRPORT connection. The free service can be used for 20 minutes.
How to reach the airport and where to park
Trieste Airport is quickly and easily accessible from all directions thanks to its strategic location. If you are driving from Trieste on the A4 highway, you should use the Monfalcone West exit after you pay the toll at the Redipuglia toll station. If you are driving from Milan, take the Monfalcone West exit and follow the directions to the airport. There are 1,100 open-air parking spaces next to the airport and you will have to pay at least EUR 60 for a week of parking.
When to arrive at the airport
Trieste Airport is very small and an hour should be more than enough to complete all the airport procedures.
When you land at Trieste Airport, collect your luggage and pass through the border control, the GoOpti van will be waiting for you right at the Arrivals exit. While you are already sitting comfortably in your seat, the friendly GoOpti driver will take care of your luggage.
Your GoOpti van will drop you off at the entrance for Departures and you will be at the luggage check-in point in just a few steps.
